Configuring a
Dial-up connection for Windows 2000

Click
Start -> Settings -> Network and Dial-up Connections -> Make New
Connection.
(You can also click
Start -> Settings -> Control Panel, then double-click the
Network and Dial-up Connections icon, then double-click
Make New Connection.)

The Network
Connection Wizard will start. Click the Next button to
continue. |

Depending on
your configuration, you may get a "Network Connection Type" screen.
If you do, click the radio button labeled Dial-up to the Internet,
then click the Next button. |

Click the
radio button labeled
I want to set up my Internet connection manually, or I want to
connect through a local area network (LAN).
Then click the Next button. |

Click the
radio button labeled
I connect through a phone line and a modem.
Then click the Next button. |

|
In the "Area
code" and "Telephone number" box, enter the dial-up access phone
number for your location
Then click the Next button. |

In the "User
name" box, enter your Galesburg.net username.
In the "Password" box, enter your Galesburg.net password.
Then click the Next button. |

Enter
Galesburg.net
Then click the Next button. |

The Internet
Connection Wizard now asks if you want to setup an
e-mail account with Microsoft Outlook Express. For now, click the
"No" radio button, then click the Next button.

You are now
ready to begin using your dial-up connection.
Click the Finish button. |
