Double-click
the "Outlook Express" icon to start Microsoft Outlook Express.

Click the Tools menu, then click Accounts....

STEP 1
Click on a current email account,
properties,
servers tab,
write down what you have listed for the
Outgoing Mail (SMTP).
Click OK.

On the
"Internet Accounts" page, click the Add button, then click
the Mail... menu item.

In the
"Display Name" box, enter your name as you want it to appear on your
e-mail messages. For personal security reasons, never use your last
name.
Then click the Next button. |

Make sure
the radio button labeled "I already have an e-mail address that I'd
like to use." is selected.
In the "E-mail address" box, enter your e-mail address (which is
your username followed by @galesburg.net). |

Make sure
the "incoming mail server" pull-down box is set to a POP3
server.
In the
"Incoming mail server" box, enter mail.galesburg.net
In the
"Outgoing mail server" box, enter the information you
wrote down from step 1.
Then click the Next button. |

In the
"Account name" box, enter your username.
In the "Password" box, enter your password.
Then click the Next button. |

Click the
Finish button. |

You should
now see your new e-mail account (labeled "Galesburg.net")
listed in the Accounts window.
Click the Close button. |

You are now
ready to begin using Outlook Express to send and receive e-mail.
By default, Outlook Express checks for new e-mail messages every
30 minutes. You can change this value by clicking the Tools
menu, then clicking the Options... menu item, then changing
the value for "Check for new messages every 30 minutes" under the
General tab.
You can also check for new e-mail messages manually by clicking
the Tools menu, clicking Send and Receive, then
clicking the Send and Receive All menu option.
An even faster way to manually check for new
e-mail messages is to press Ctrl-M or the Send/Recv
button on the toolbar.
